Biography
Fatimah bint Asad was the wife of Abu Talib and mother of ʿAli and Jaʿfar. She cared for the young Muhammad ﷺ when he lived in Abu Talib’s house after his grandfather’s death, and he regarded her as a mother.
She accepted Islam and emigrated to Madinah, where she died around 4 AH.
