On the southern edge of Madinah, it was the first mosque built in Islam, on the Prophet’s ﷺ arrival during the Hijrah.

Significance

Praised in the Quran as a mosque "founded on righteousness from the first day". The Prophet ﷺ used to visit it every Saturday, walking or riding.
