Safa and Marwah
MakkahTwo small hills, now inside the mosque, joined by the covered walkway (al-Masʿa) where pilgrims perform saʿi.
Significance
Hajar ran between them seven times searching for water for Ismaʿil. Allah calls them among His symbols, and saʿi between them is a rite of Hajj and Umrah.
