Biography
Safiyyah was the daughter of a chief of Banu al-Nadir and was taken captive at Khaybar. The Prophet ﷺ freed her and married her, making her freedom her dowry.
She was intelligent, patient and generous. When she was teased about her Jewish lineage, the Prophet ﷺ taught her to answer that her father was Harun, her uncle Musa and her husband Muhammad ﷺ. She died around 50 AH.
