Biography
Umm Sulaym accepted Islam early in Madinah and brought her young son Anas to serve the Prophet ﷺ. When Abu Talhah proposed, she asked for his Islam as her dowry, according to well-known reports.
She was known for courage — she went out to battles to tend the wounded — and for remarkable patience. She died around 30 AH.
