Biography
Musʿab was a pampered young man of Makkah who left wealth and comfort for Islam. The Prophet ﷺ sent him to Madinah after the first pledge of ʿAqabah to teach the Quran, and through him many of its leaders accepted Islam.
He carried the banner at Uhud and was martyred in 3 AH; there was not even enough cloth to shroud him fully.
Virtues
When he was martyred at Uhud, his cloak could not cover both his head and feet; the Prophet ﷺ told them to cover his head and place grass over his feet.
