Biography
Al-Zubayr was the Prophet’s ﷺ cousin through his mother Safiyyah bint ʿAbd al-Muttalib, and the husband of Asmaʾ bint Abi Bakr. He accepted Islam young and endured torture from his uncle without giving up his faith.
He emigrated to Abyssinia and Madinah and fought in every battle with the Prophet ﷺ, becoming one of the bravest horsemen. He died in 36 AH.
