Angels brought Ibrahim and Sarah the glad tidings of a knowledgeable son, Ishaq, and after him Yaʿqub — though both were very old (11:71–73). Allah made Ishaq a prophet among the righteous (37:112–113), and from his line came many prophets of the Children of Israel.
