Yaʿqub (Jacob)

No. 10
يعقوب عليه السلامSon of Ishaq; also called Israʾil

Yaʿqub was a prophet who, like Ibrahim, advised his sons at his death to die only as Muslims, submitting to Allah, and they promised to worship his God, the God of his fathers (2:132–133).

When he lost his beloved son Yusuf, and later Binyamin, he grieved deeply but said, "I only complain of my grief and sorrow to Allah" (12:86), never despairing of Allah's mercy — until Allah reunited them.
